- Vista is ok (Yes, I take it back)
- Flash game idea = dumped, guess I never manage to finish most of the stuff…
- Planning to make a web-based game, looking at above, it also has huge fail chance
I’m really unstable. Last few weeks ago I decided to lose hand-drawn background (all oh that for nothing) and now go off on a completely different road.
Now I’m planning to use sounds from Windows XP and create game’s backtrack on-the-go (I’ll create the song myself, not use the one linked above).
Only time will show how large of a fail it is.

I’m not real good at drawing graphics on a computer, so I decided to hand-draw the graphics. The biggest fail about that: I did it in the middle of the night. No natural lighting, etc. So the first picture which was made using my phone displaying white light and another taking the picture. Of course, that didn’t come out well…
So I decided to go with the yellow-ish lights at the same room I was in, this time also shooting the picture with my phone.
Left: This time with my phone, 1.3 Megapixel :)
This one is a lot better to work with. Now I don’t remember what I did, but if I would do it now, this would be the steps: (note that I did it in Paint.Net)
- Decrease image size for faster processing
- Reduce Noise
- Remove all paper outside ship (Magic wand)
- Choose ship outline using Magic Wand at ~41% tolerance and Invert the selection
- Delete the selection
- Effects -> Ink Sketch with Max Ink Outline and minimum Coloring
- Delete the surrounding white & save as transparent png
Final result: (with white background)
